Rebecca Crowther was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley and is the owner and operator of To The Penny Accounting & Tax. Since the company’s inception in 1995, she has worked, and studied and served thousands in need of tax and accounting services.

Her ability to understand tax laws and to piece together financial information combined with a desire to help others with their finances, led her to seek business and accounting degrees from Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah . Her clients appreciate her trustworthiness and personable service. She currently holds a Business Accounting Certificate and Personal and Business Tax Certificates from Universal Accounting Institute and is pursuing her E.A. (enrolled agent) license.

She is especially fond of her husband, David, their 4 children, the family beagle, and lighthouses. When you ask her teenage boys about her interests, they say “Cooking, cleaning and giving money to her kids.” (ha ha, nice try boys!) Her elementary age children say “Tucking her kids in bed, reading and doing taxes.” She especially appreciates how supportive her husband is of her, (especially during those long nights in tax season.) After almost 2 decades of marriage, he knows her best and will tell you of her love of being outdoors with camping, gardening or walking. She can also be found sewing, singing, and visiting with extended family.

Individuals and businesses in the community know her best as Becky. She serves them by volunteering with her children’s various Parent-Teacher groups and working with local schools at their “Reality Towns” (which gives youth a chance to experience what life, money and taxes are all about). She has also served in leadership positions spanning the past 20 years in women, youth and children organizations within her church and community, leading in Neighborhood Watch and Mobile Patrol programs, and helping her High School Alumni with its website.
